"A good snapshot stops a moment from running away." ~Eudora Welty

The Session

All sessions with FocusPoint Photography are tailored to your family's needs. Our casual approach shows through in the creation of beautiful portraits that will be treasured for years to come. Whether it is in your home, or a nearby park, shooting on location provides a comfortable, natural, pleasant setting for your family.

Sessions will typically last between one and two hours. This gives us enough time to capture the best images possible. For newborns and children, morning sessions seem to work best, but we will work with you to determine a time that best suits you and your child(ren). We can schedule time around naps, feedings, and the individual needs of your family. We try to capture a blend of posed and candid, natural pictures.

A session fee is charged, covering the photographer's travel, time and talent, image retouching, and a private online gallery. This fee is due in full at the time of booking and is non-refundable, but is certainly transferable in situations where you must reschedule your session. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you must reschedule (at least 24 hours notice is preferred.)

For pricing information, please see the Services section.

The Online Gallery

About 5-7 days after the photo session, you will receive a link by email to your private online gallery of images. Your gallery will be available for two weeks, during which time you may view and download your pictures. Images will then be archived for one year and may be retrieved from our archives for a nominal retrieval fee. You may send the email link to relatives and friends for their viewing enjoyment and they may also make prints.

The Copyright

Please note that FocusPoint Photography is different to other photography businesses. We believe that you should be able to make as many prints as you want. For legal reasons, we retain the copyright, but your pictures include a Print Release Form, enabling you to make whatever prints, enlargements, coffee mugs, mousepads, etc. that you may want. Furthermore, if you choose to send your pictures to relatives or friends, they may also make unlimited prints.
